Fostering AI-Fuelled Technologies to Fuse and Analyse Sensorial Knowledge for Causal Civilian Situational Awareness and Decision-Making
CYGNUS aimed to develop a self-managing software platform that fused huge amounts of sensorial data from distributed IoT devices and UAVs. By utilizing federated learning and Explainable AI (XAI), the project provided causal civilian situational awareness to support justified decision-making in complex environments. Acceligence Ltd. led the integration and demonstration activities. We enhanced our proprietary CERBERUS and F1-TETHERED UAVs with advanced edge capabilities to support AI algorithms for hotspot and people detection. We were also responsible for validating the platform in real-world scenarios.
CYGNUS Project is funded by Research and Innovation Foundation under Restart Research 2016-2020 Programme under the DUAL USE/0922/0024 agreement.

Post-Quantum Cryptography As-a-Service for Common Transmission Systems and Infrastructures
PiQASO is developing a “Cryptography As-a-Service” platform to protect critical European infrastructures from future quantum computing attacks. It aims to replace traditional Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) with quantum-resistant algorithms that can be deployed across existing transmission systems without requiring specialized hardware on the client side. Acceligence Ltd. serves as the Use Case Leader for autonomous systems. We are leveraging our multi-purpose UAV fleet to establish a testbed for secure Drone-to-Drone (D2D) communication. Our team simulates Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks to validate that the PiQASO algorithms effectively secure flight telemetry and command data against quantum threats.
The PiQASO project, funded under Grant Agreement No. 101190366, is supported by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and co-funded by the European Union.

ORQESTRA
Orchestrating the Operational Deployment of Quantum Resistant Services for Next-Generation Secure Defence Systems and Communications
Funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF), ORQESTRA bridges the gap between computationally intensive Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and operational reality in defense. It focuses on integrating quantum-resistant security into legacy military systems and tactical field units, ensuring secure communications against future quantum threats. Acceligence Ltd. contributes its expertise in embedded systems and tactical UAVs. We utilize our UAV fleet to establish a testbed addressing security challenges in collaborative UAV operations. We implement lightweight hardware accelerators and optimized software schemes to run heavy PQC algorithms on drone on-board computers, ensuring secure, quantum-resistant data links for tactical field operations.
